2023 Tata Nexon Facelift Revealed Ahead Of Launch In India

Tata Motors has finally taken the wraps off the much anticipated 2023 Nexon in the Indian market. The Nexon facelift now features substantial exterior and interior upgrades along with new features. The 2023 Tata Nexon will come in four variants - Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless.The Nexon facelift draws plenty of inspiration from the Curvv concept which the company showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. The heavily revised front now sports a new grille and split-headlamp setup with sequential LED DRLs forming the outer edges of the slim grille section. The LED projector headlights are now vertically stacked in the redesigned front bumper. The side profile is similar to the outgoing model except for the new alloy wheels. At the back, there are new V-shaped LED tail lights connected by an LED light bar while the rear bumper has been reprofiled too.Inside, the 2023 Nexon facelift gets a completely new makeover. The cabin gets a newly designed dashboard layout and Curvv concept-inspired two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo and touch-based climate control. The Nexon facelift's floating infotainment system now features Tata’s larger 10.25-inch unit along with a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display which can be customised to have navigation as well. Similarly, it also gets a Land Rover-inspired gear lever for the automatic variants.In terms of features, the 2023 Tata Nexon gets a 360-degree camera, connected car tech, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, ventilated and height-adjustable front seats, and cruise control. It also packs a 9-speaker JBL sound system including a subwoofer and Harman enhanced AudioworX. On the safety front, the new Nexon is equipped with six airbags (standard), electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX child seat mounts, front parking sensors, and a reversing camera.The 2023 Tata Nexon will be available with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines from the outgoing mode. The petrol unit generates 118bhp and 170Nm of torque and is mated with a six-speed manual, an AMT gearbox, and a seven-speed DCT unit with shift-by-wire technology. The diesel unit, on the other hand, will put out 113 bhp and 260 Nm of torque. It continues to offer drive modes (Eco, City and Sports). Similarly, the 2023 Nexon also adds paddle shifters for both AMT and dual-clutch automatic transmission options.The 2023 Nexon will continue to rival the Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and Nissan Magnite in the Indian market.
